Music Nerdery is a music newsletter featuring deep-dives, forgotten gems and a weekly playlist created just for its readers. - Music has always given me joy… and solace. As a little girl I’d borrow my mother’s headphones and spend hours in my bedroom fangirling over Madonna’s Like A Prayer (1989) and discovering The Beatles through my father’s music collection. I’d hide my older brother’s copy of Prince’s Batman soundtrack (1989) wishing it could be mine forever, and spent my weekly allowance on CDs and music magazines.
